How to Disable pop-up blocker:

Here are instructions on how to disable the Microsoft Internet Explorer pop-up blocker. A document I found with instructions on how to disable various other pop-up blockers which may be installed on some computers is here - PDF version

Microsoft Service Pack 2 (SP2)

With the release of Microsoft’s Service Pack 2, Pop-Up Blocking is now directly integrated into Internet Explorer.

Note that by default Pop-Up blocking is Enabled within SP2

Listed below is the location of the menu within Internet Explorer:

Click on the information bar:

Turn Off Pop-up Blocker. Once this is done then the user should be able to proceed.

How to  install Remote Terminal Services ActiveX Control

Terminal Services (called Remote Desktop in Windows XP) is a remote control package that comes with Windows 2000, 2003, and XP. The service allows users to connect to computers and work on the remote machine as if it were their local desktop. The application's ActiveX component is freely downloaded from Microsoft's website and only takes a few steps to install.

 Instructions

1.    Step 1

Download the component from Microsoft's website located at http://microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/tools/rdwebconn.mspx. On the right side of the screen, select your language and press the "Go" button. Click the "Install" button when prompted.

2.    Step 2

Select a directory for the location of the files. A window prompts you for a directory path by asking "Where would you like to place the sample web pages directory?" For this example, enter "C:\Windows\Web\TSWeb." Click the "OK" button.

3.    Step 3

Click the "Yes" button when the application prompts you to create the new directory.

4.    Step 4

Verify the application was installed by clicking the Windows "Start" button, select "Settings" and choose "Control Panel" from the menu.

5.    Step 5

Double-click the "Add/Remove Programs" icon. In the installed list of applications, Terminal Services (Remote Desktop for Windows XP users) should be in the list of programs.
